The Seven Meadows Farm Experience

offering shares of organically grown farm products

Seven Meadows Farm started growing six years ago with 1000 square feet of market garden, three sheep and a donkey. Family, friends and community have brought us to where we are today: A prominent year-round organic grower for our region with a popular local foods bistro in town.

We’re looking forward to feeding more people than ever this year by increasing our garden and orchard space, building our third greenhouse, raising 50 lambs, and hosting up to four farm interns. There’s a good chance that we’ll expand our bistro, too.

A while back, Rusty and I decided that providing organically grown food to our community was something we could sink our teeth into. Each year we produced more than the last and our customers enthusiastically supported our efforts with their purchases. Now we find ourselves ready to turn things up a notch!

There is a huge demand for our product. Thanks to a growing awareness and appreciation for locally grown food, we outgrew our restaurant space in three months. A farm stand is incorporated within, which sells locally grown produce, eggs and baked goods. Seven Meadows Farm has a terrific reputation at area farmers markets, restaurants and locally owned grocery stores.

Rusty and I are offering shares in Seven Meadows Farm’s products. Our diverse farm enables you to receive a wide variety of products on a quarterly basis. Because we view sustainable farming as something to be shared, your share includes access to our “farm cam”, the Seven Meadows blog, and our monthly newsletter. And of course you can visit the farm, meet the animals and see your food out in the sunshine! Click here to see the details of your share. Shares are available to anyone in Colorado and the surrounding states in order to minimize the distance that our farm products travel.

For those of you unfamiliar with this type of relationship, the idea is based on a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), a concept that’s been around for many years whereby customers pay in advance for periodic deliveries of a farm’s products. In this way, the customer shares in both the risks and rewards of growing the freshest and best tasting food you can get!

The majority of the costs in farming come at the beginning of the growing season. Your share helps the farm get ready for the new year, and build on the successes of previous years. In return, we hope to involve and inspire customers with our farm and the bounty which it produces. Ours is not a typical CSA. You’ll experience Seven Meadows Farm’s wide diversity through products, information and access. We figure that if you can’t have a farm of your own, this is the next best thing!

Our goal is to share our farm with you, and you’ll witness the growth that your sponsorship helped create. Through all of the seasons, you can watch the goings-on through the farm cam, ask questions on our blog, try our recipes, visit, and enjoy delicious food that has been grown with love. We hope that you like what our farm has to offer and we look forward to getting to know you. Thank you for supporting Seven Meadows Farm!

peace,

Laurie and Rusty Hall
